AIRCRAFT ENGINES AND PROPULSION SYSTEMS FROM SINDELFINGEN
Moving into the future together through service and innovation – built on tradition.
Since 1963, SOLO has been developing and manufacturing aircraft engines for motor gliders. Today, the majority of powered gliders worldwide fly with a SOLO propulsion system – from proven two-stroke engines to the first EASA-certified electric propulsion system of its kind.
OUR PROPULSION SYSTEMS
Series 2350 – The Classic
More than 1,000 aircraft worldwide fly with this propulsion system. It is used as the 2350 B and BS in the Technoflug Piccolo motor glider, as the 2350 C in the Ventus cm and DG 1000T, and as the 2350 D in Schempp-Hirth two-seater gliders.
Series 2625 – Water-Cooled and Self-Launching
In service since 1998 in self-launching gliders from Schempp-Hirth, DG Flugzeugbau, Binder, and HPH. The 262502i version is available with modern electronic fuel injection.
Electric Propulsion System 80400
Since June 2023, SOLO has offered the 80400, the first EASA-certified electric propulsion system of its kind – combining six decades of aircraft engine expertise with state-of-the-art electric propulsion technology.
